HiDef Photo Booth started offering photo booth services in 2011. The brand was started by Sound Defying Entertainment in response to many of the poorly constructed booths we saw our clients renting at events where we were provided DJ Services.

We initially decided to build a booth that gives what we consider a very authentic photo booth feeling but brought into the 21st century with some really cool technology and never before seen features. Like all things, popular styles and technologies advance. Our initial first booth has since been retired, and we’ve updated components of other booths, and event added 2 brand new booths in 2023.

Why did we create a separate brand around the photo booths, rather than just offer it as another Sound Defying Entertainment service? There were a couple reasons; Many DJ and Photography companies subcontract out their photo booth work, we don’t. We wanted to highlight areas of event services we specialize in and also partner with other entertainment companies to offer our booths as part of their services. We also didn’t want customers to feel pressured to hire the Sound Defying DJ services if they were booking a Photo Booth, these 2 things don’t have to go hand in hand.

Over the past 10+ years we’ve done events from everyday parties for hundreds of customers, to more unique events such as multiday events for companies like Amazon to long term engagements for Bars, helping them grow their business and their social media interactions.

HiDef Photo Booth is based in Morris County in Denville, NJ and we primarily serve the NY/NJ Tri-State Area.
